Titleist Performance Institute Screening
Are you a golfer in the Cincinnati area looking for ways to feel better playing golf and to improve your game? Well, you have come to the right place! Andrew is a sports physical therapist with specialized training and certifications through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to help golfers meet their performance goals.
What is the Titleist Performance Institute?
The Titleist Performance Institute is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.
What does the TPI Screen consist of?
Every golfer screened by the therapists at Complete Sports Rehabilitation will complete 15 different movement assessments identifying issues ranging from core control and pelvic stability to upper body and lower body flexibility. Once the screen is completed, each client will receive a personalized strength and flexibility program based on their medical history, goals, and physical fitness level.
To put it simply: “TPI does not believe in one way to swing a club, rather in an infinite number of swing styles. But, we do believe there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player can physically do.”
Our goal at Completes Sports Rehabilitation is to help each golfer maximize their ability to compete in their sport based on the physical characteristics of their body, and golf is no different than any other sport. Questions? Give us a call or a text today!
